Churches, organisations, families and individuals have engaged in many different ways in this year's Thy Kingdom Come prayer campaign which took place between Ascension and Pentecost. Thy Kingdom Come looked different this year due to COVID-19. But still, Christians in more than 170 countries gathered online . The Thy Kingdom Come Pentecost service can be viewed by clicking here, and a brief article can be viewed here, which includes a link to a tweet from Pope Francis regarding the service!
The service includes contributions from Pope Francis, Archbishop Justin, Archbishop Sentamu, Archbishop Angaelos, Pastor Agu, Methodist Youth President, Thelma Commey, Heidi Crowter, an advocate for people with Downs Syndrome, prayers from children, Bible readings from young people and a special multilingual version of the Lord's Prayer. Worship was led by Matt Redman including a special music collaboration created especially for Thy Kingdom Come.
The response to the Pentecost service was encouraging with media coverage including BBC Radio 4’s Today programme, the Daily Mail, ITV and Vatican News to name a few.
