What is the area of the Merseyside Region?

Churches Together in the Merseyside Region serves an area with fuzzy edges. The church denominations share a central core area, but few common boundaries. Broadly speaking, the CTMR area embraces the City of Liverpool, the Metropolitan Boroughs of Sefton, Knowsley, St Helens and Wirral, along with Widnes, most of Warrington, a lot of Wigan and parts of West Lancashire and Cheshire.

Churches Together in the Merseyside Region is funded in equal measures by the Roman Catholic Church (Archdiocese of Liverpool & Diocese of Shrewsbury), the Church of England (Diocese of Liverpool & Diocese of Chester) and the Free Churches (Liverpool Methodist District, United Reformed Church Mersey Synod, North West Baptist Association, Salvation Army North Western Division and North Wales)
