Pentecost 2021 in Liverpool
23rd May 2021
Planning for our Churches Together in the Merseyside Region (CTMR) Pentecost Sunday event in Liverpool is underway.
The Spirit at work in our community
The last year or so has been one of significant challenge to us all, yet one that underlines our role as a people of faith to be beacons of hope within our communities. COVID has severely disrupted many of the ways in which we seek to express that - one of which is our annual Pentecost festival based around the two cathedrals.
For 2021, we are again seeking to make this an online event, and plans are already underway to provide an enriching online experience for those who join.
As part of that service, we want to recognise and celebrate the many ways in which churches are working locally within their communities, and we would love you to be part of that. Our request is that you seek to take a photograph that in some way or another encapsulates "The Spirit at work in our community". This might be a feature of the natural environment, an image from your church buildings that particularly inspires you, and example of people working together to provide support to one another - or something quite different. Please do not feel that you need to conform to any prescribed standard, we simply ask that you offer us a photograph of reasonable quality along with a sentence that explains where it was taken and something of why you have chosen it. Please ensure that if it contains images of people, that you have their permission to share it.
We hope to include as many of these as possible within the service on Pentecost Sunday (23rd May 2021) so please send your photograph (digital please) as soon as possible but no later than Sunday, 9th May, please. Please send it to Elisabeth at: email@example.com
We look forward to seeing and sharing your images
Please send us this image by the 2nd May emailing Elisabeth.
